Danielle Stephen
Assistant Choreographer
Danielle trained at Laine Theatre Arts on a Musical Theatre Scholarship in 2005. There, she was nominated a choreographic award for her solo by Derek Deane OBE, former Artistic Director of the English National Ballet, and gained her FDI teaching qualification, having previously studied IDTA and RAD. She has had a diverse career from stage to screen to cabaret and circus, and most recently, script writer after undertaking an English Literature degree.
She has performed at the Royal Albert Hall for Magic fm’s The Magic of the Musicals, as Havana Girl in the Olivier-nominated West End UK Tour of Guys and Dolls (choreography by Carlos Acosta and Andrew Wright), and played Princess Jasmine and Scherezade for Qdos pantomimes. Internationally, she played Shirley Charles in Saturday Night Fever (Tel Aviv), Belle (singer) for Hong Kong Disney, Ariel (aerialist) for Tokyo Disney Sea, Eurovision Tel Aviv, Taboo by Franco Dragone in Macau, and a performer for a Cirque du Soleil special event in Hong Kong. Danielle has worked as a freelance artist, assistant choreographer to Supple Nam for the National Bank of Kuwait commercial, and choreographed/performed in various commercials, music videos and dance art films. La Voyage dans la Lune won various short dance film awards at Cannes Shorts, San Francisco Dance Film Festival, Alternative Film Festival, and the Roberto Camba and Mellor Obra Prize at the Curtas Festival do Imaxinario, Portugal.
Her commercial credits include: Coca Cola, McDonalds, Liz Earle, Ministry of Sound, Clinique, Samsonite (Ian Rankin photographer), Tesco’s, Delta, Hoodies, Sunny Delight, Soda Stream, Fiat, and Ford. Most recently, in April 2023, she appeared in Vogue Magazine and Times Square NYC for Lumenis Trilift campaign. Her TV credits include dancer for Elle Goulding on Children in Need, dancer for Lou Bega Mambo no.5 on Bring the Noise, Katie McDermid in Clique BBC3, Claire on Alan Carr’s Happy Hour, dancer with Liz Hurley for The Royals, soloist for the Masked Singer Israel, finalist dancer for Dancing with the Stars Israel live show and projection, and Mary George due to hit the telly box next year. She has performed in various corporate events including Formula 1 Singapore, dancer for Cher Lloyd in a BMW Olympic Event in China, Patek Philippe, and Levi’s, and was the voice over for Disney’s Princess Procession Parade.
She has recently returned from living in Tel Aviv for six years, where she taught musical theatre at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, modern for the Israeli Ballet, and also coached students for their theatre school auditions.
