Stuart is based in Glasgow and trained at the Royal Conservatoire Scotland graduating with BEd Music with Honours in Singing & Performance & majoring in Arranging/Orchestration.

Stuart immediately began teaching in the Secondary and Primary sectors in East Kilbride and launched his own Children’s & Youth Theatre Company, Spotlight Youth Theatre.

Stuart went on to co-found GAMTA and then worked with The Brit School and Bird College in London.   Most recently he’s worked with Centrestage in Kilmarnock and also Imagine Theatre.

In 1998, Stuart was nominated for Glasgow’s City Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Stuart has extensive experience as a Musical Director for Theatre and more recently, as Director on a wide variety of musicals and also panto.

In addition to his work with Hamilton Theatre Arts & Dancepoint, Stuart is co-director of Theatre Alliance based in Kilmarnock.

Stuart recent gained his Estill Figure Proficiency (EFP).
